The European Garden Machinery Industry Federation, established in 1977, is representing the garden machinery industry in Europe. The association serves as a main contact point for authorities and standardisation bodies in the EU. It supports its members by being an effective forum for exchange of information regarding new European legislative requirements and serving as a spokesman for the industry regarding issues such as the threats from non-compliant and counterfeit products in a globalised market environment. Furthermore, it provides technical and marketing support to manufacturers to develop the new types of garden and outdoor equipment that meet customers’ high expectations in terms of performance, service and safety.
