Privacy Policy

The AEA respects the privacy of its members, registrants, customers and staff. The AEA aims to act consistently with the Data Protection Act 1998 and subsequent regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server automatically recognises no information regarding the domain or e-mail address.

We collect the e-mail address of those who communicate with us via e-mail, aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, user specific information on what pages consumers access or visit and information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations.

The information we collect is used for internal review and is then discarded, used to improve the content of our Web page, used to customise the content and/or layout of our page for individual consumer and used by us to contact consumers for marketing purposes.

If you do not want to receive e-mail from us in the future, please let us know by sending an e-mail, calling or writing, and telling us that you do not want to receive e-mail from our company.

 

How we handle your personal information
Personal information is the information or opinion that allows others to identify you. It includes your name, age, gender and contact details. It is AEA’s. policy that information relating to its members, registrants, customers and staff is available only to AEA and its appointed Administrator and not for direct access by third parties.

Such personal information is never disclosed to third parties save to the extent set out herein

Collection of personal information
Generally, AEA collects personal information directly from you. For example, we collect personal information when you:
Deal with AEA in person, by telephone, letter, or email
Fill out and submit a contact form
Submit any other information in connection with your registration or the purchase of products and services
Make an enquiry via a web form or email
Book on to an AEA run event.
Use and disclosure
AEA policy is not to disclose any personal Information that we hold on you to any unrelated third party, except where you have given your express consent for us to do so or where required by law.

Arrangements are occasionally made with suppliers of goods and services for their mailings to be sent to members. All material is carefully vetted, and the mailing list is never released to third parties. These mailings are only ever included with standard AEA and other communications sent directly from AEA.
