The sales and warehousing arm of Italian designer and manufacturer of high-performance axial fans and centrifugal blowers for thermal management and HVAC, SPAL UK has been member of the AEA since 2022.

As the agricultural and outdoor machinery sector moves towards greater sustainability in terms of the technology employed and the method of propulsion, SPAL has developed a series of energy efficient components.

SPAL’s High Voltage brushless drive fans are designed for cooling vehicles and equipment powered by high-capacity batteries. HV fans deliver the same output as LV fans but with lower energy loss and less current draw. This not only makes them more energy-efficient but contributes to extending the vehicle range or the time the EV machine can run on a single charge.

For introducing further thermal efficiency into the systems of battery and fuel cell propelled machines, SPAL’s new brushless water pumps are available in 12V and 24V, and shortly in 48V versions. Software driven allowing additional control of the coolant rate the pumps manage and maintain what is a narrow temperature range; protecting the battery from overheating, preserving its longevity and overall performance.

SPAL’s brushless products are built with sealed drive units meeting IP6K9K specification and a sturdy metal housing resistant to corrosion and water ingress.  Waterproof and spark-free the units do not present a risk in the presence of combustible materials.

Smart controlled, with CAN, PWM and LIN versions available as well as an HVIL option; the built-in diagnostic and safety features mean that SPAL fans and pumps are able to maintain performance, a working life of 40,000+ hours and reliability even in extreme environments.
