At JCB, we’re constantly creating innovative machinery that responds to the ever-changing needs of farmers and contractors. Machinery that’s powerful, fast, durable and efficient. Machinery that provides value for money through high residuals. And machinery that’s backed by the best service and parts network around. We call this approach “Redefining Productivity”. You might call it increasing profitability.
Since Joseph Cyril Bamford first built a farm trailer in 1945, we’ve worked hard to develop a comprehensive range of agricultural machines that deliver the greatest levels of performance and profitability.
In 1977, we started building specialist agricultural Loadalls. In 2009, we introduced a revolutionary chassis design which allows the super-compact 516-40 to achieve a height of just 1.8m. In 2014, the 560-80 became our highest capacity model, capable of lifting 6 tonnes. Today we are the world number one for telescopic handlers and all but our smallest models feature the record-breaking JCB DIESELMAX engine.
In 1983 we introduced our agricultural wheeled loaders, purposely designed for high performance in the most demanding applications. Now this range is bigger than ever to give you the ideal solution. 1991 saw a revolution in tractor design. The JCB Fastrac is the world’s only fully suspended, high-draught tractor capable of 80kph. Everything about the range is designed to increase productivity and drive down cost of operation; truly versatile tractors you’ll use all year round.
The JCB skid steer, launched in 1993, created another industry first; the safety and convenience of side access. This was followed in 1997 by the revolutionary, time and money saving Teletruk.
In 2006, JCB’s innovative TorqueLock was introduced, resulting in reduced fuel consumption and higher speeds. In 2010, we patented Adaptive Load Control, which improves safety and stability on our telescopic machines without compromising performance. We also introduced LiveLink; a telematics system that improves security and provides data on operational health and service status.
Since then we have launched new ranges of telehandlers, Fastracs, wheeled loaders and skid steers – all of which are improving performance and productivity for farmers and contractors. More lift capacity, more power, more comfort, more speed, but using less fuel. The award-winning JCB EcoMax engine has delivered fuel savings while not requiring a DPF to conform to the latest legislation, ensuring JCB machines retain their superb visibility, manoeuvrability and serviceability for which they are renowned.
These are just a few highlights of our constant innovation. But we are ‘Jamais Content’ (never content) – developing new solutions, improving and expanding our range to meet your needs, both now and for the future.
