Established in 1883 and still family-owned, Amazone, with its broad range of sprayers, spreaders, cultivators and drills, is the harvest to harvest specialist. The business is built on providing intensive agronomical know-how and good customer service.
The cultivation programme takes in the Catros compact disc harrow from 2.5m to 12 m for post-combine, shallow stubble cultivation, the deeper working, tined Cenius mulch cultivators and Ceus disc and tine combination cultivators in 3 m to 7 m for soil structure renovation, through to inversion tillage with the Cayros and Tyrok of plough ranges in 2 to 9 furrows. For secondary cultivation, the PTO-driven KE rotary harrows and KG rotary cultivators span working widths from 2.5 m to 6 m in either rigid or folding and horse powers from 140 hp to 360 hp.
In widths ranging from 2.5 to 15m, the Amazone drill range encompasses all farm sizes and establishment techniques from direct drilling, tine seeding, cultivator drilling right through to power harrow/drill combinations. An increasing use of fertiliser with the seed is also now catered for on both trailed drills and drill combinations. High-speed precision drills for maize and rape complete the drill line-up.
The high-tech, self-propelled Pantera sprayer forms the flagship in a comprehensive programme of trailed and mounted sprayers. The market-leading UF mounted range offers tank sizes from 900 up 2,000 litres and boom widths up to 30m whereas the UX trailed sprayers, in boom widths up to 42m, come as standard with axle steering and capacities up to 12,000 litres.
The full range of fertiliser spreaders includes hopper capacities from 500 to 10,000 litres and tramline widths of up to 54 m. With the ZA-TS, and the bigger trailed ZG-TS mounted fertiliser spreaders, Amazone have pushed the boundaries yet further with outputs that allow application rates of up to 400 kg/ha at forward speeds of around 30 km/h at 36m. Automated wind control, spread pattern monitoring and sophisticated headland spreading systems make for the ultimate in precision spreading.
Amazone Groundcare provides a range of green space maintenance equipment with its Groundkeeper tractor mounted flail collectors and the Profihopper self-propelled mower collectors. Both come with the SmartCut rotor and offer year-round use. Whether used for clearing spring bulbs, fine mowing, scarifying, maintaining wild flower meadows, collecting leaves or clearing litter, it takes it all in its stride. The Groundkeeper offers working widths from 1.35m to 2.1m, whereas the Profihopper, on both the 1.25 m cut, PH 1250 or 1.5 m cut, PH 1500, has the unique PowerCompactor System, which collects the grass via augers for a clean pickup irrespective of the weather conditions and ensures that the hopper is fully packed with 30% more than the equivalent loose cut material.
Completing the Amazone Groundcare range is the flexible single disc EK-S and E+S spreader for those winter grit applications as well as year-round top-dressing.
