Month :    947 Units       -14.5% change (compared with September 2016)

Year to Date :    9,058 Units       +8.0% change (compared with January-September 2016)

For the second month in a row, UK agricultural tractor registrations (over 50hp) in September were below their level in the same month last year. Indeed, the year-on-year decline increased to nearly 15%; at 947, the number of units registered was 161 lower than in September 2016. However, it is worth noting that a year ago, many dealers were running end-of-series promotions which meant that registrations were a third higher than the year before in both September and October. Therefore, a decline was to be expected and another is possible for the current month. Registrations for the year to date remain 8% up on the first nine months of last year, at 9,058 units.
